The Continuing Education and E-Learning Centre (CEEC) organized a webinar titled “Understanding Zakat: Concept, Obligation and Calculation” on 01 March 2026 for the faculty, staff, and students of IUT. The webinar was delivered by Dr. Mufti Yousuf Sultan, a Visiting Lecturer at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and the University of Malaya. The webinar was deemed appropriate to be organized during the holy month of Ramadan 2026 to enhance awareness of key religious obligations, understanding of Shariah rulings on Zakat, and its social and spiritual implications. The webinar was well attended and concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
