The Continuing Education and E-Learning Centre (CEEC) organized a certificate course titled “Quran Recitation and Understanding” for IUT students, conducted by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin (IML, University of Dhaka) over 18 online sessions. The course began on Saturday, February 7, 2026 with a duration of four weeks. A total of 137 students from Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Gambia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, and Yemen registered and participated in the course. Participants learned Arabic letter forms, proper tajweed for 11 frequently recited Surahs, and gained foundational knowledge of Quranic Arabic grammar, including understanding selected Surahs used in Salah and common vocabulary. Upon completion, students demonstrated improved recitation and basic comprehension skills, and certificates were awarded.
